Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ED—Level I at Edgewater, NJ. The role supports critical care in a fast-paced ED, including night shifts, 7 PM–7:30 AM, with 11.5-hour shifts and weekends on alternation.

The RN will provide direct patient care, lead interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to performance improvement and education within a large academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• RN license and current registration in NYS required on hire.
• 2 years RN ED experience required.
• Proficient English communication.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in coordinating and delivering patient care.
• Assesses patient health status and documents interventions.
• Maintains plan of care and participates in IDT rounds.
• Provides safe, evidence-based nursing care in the ED setting.
• Mentors staff and participates in professional development.
