Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ED Level I. The RN provides high-acuity emergency care, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, and upholds nursing standards and ethics.

The position involves leadership in care coordination, ongoing assessment, and discharge planning. Night shift with alternating weekends and scheduled hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM; compensation includes an hourly rate of $62.63 and a staff employment type at Montefiore.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
• BSN in Nursing (preferred)
• 1 year of acute care RN experience required; exceptional recent grads considered
• 2 years of RN experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department preferred
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems (Medium proficiency)
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral (Medium proficiency)
• New York RN license and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State
• OHS Annual Assessment required
• Certification in specialty (ACLS/PALS/BLS) upon hire preferred
• Infection Control & Barrier Precaution Training Upon Hire Required
