Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

This full-time, night-shift role requires current RN licensure, BLS, and physician collaboration. BSN within four years may be required for some hires; benefits eligible with a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four (4) years of their hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate). Seeks and evaluates information from the interdisciplinary team: patient, family, physician, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, others.
• Plan: Develops an individualized plan of care with patient and family involvement; coordinates education, referrals, and follow-up.
• Implement: Leads the care team, delegates tasks, and ensures care aligns with the plan while managing time, supplies, and resources.
• Evaluate: Reviews outcomes, revises the care plan as needed, and reassesses changes.
• Professionalism: Maintains ethical and legal standards, accurate documentation, and compliance with licensure requirements.
