Job summary

Intermountain Health Alta View Hospital in Sandy, Utah, seeks a staff RN for the Emergency Department. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team in a high-acuity ED.

Requires current RN license, BLS, and BSN in some cases; one year of RN ED experience preferred. Full-time, 36 hours/week with variable shifts; benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; compact license transfer within 60 days if applicable.
• BSN within four years if RN has less than 12 months of experience.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social and psychological status and information from the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan and educate to develop individualized care plans with patient and family involvement.
• Direct and coordinate interdisciplinary care to meet the care plan and timelines.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise the care plan as needed.
• Maintain professionalism, compliance, documentation, and ethical standards.
