Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Northglenn, CO. This RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with four weekend shifts every eight weeks and holiday coverage.

Minimum qualifications include current RN license in state of practice and BLS; BSN is preferred and increasingly required. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; valid compact licenses must transfer within 60 days of start.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• BSN preferred; required as of 2025-04-27 per job description update; degree from accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, social, and psychological status; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan individualized care using assessment information and critical thinking; involve patient and family.
• Implement care by directing the interdisciplinary team and coordinating resources.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise care plans; ensure timely documentation and compliance with licensure.
