Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day
• Active Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data; develops individualized care plan and coordinates delivery
• Directs care and oversees any nursing assistants on patient care
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and support staff; documents care decisions
• Participates in unit governance, committees, and projects
• Monitors patient responses to interventions and adjusts plans accordingly
• Uses best available evidence to guide nursing practice
