Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room Team. You will provide professional nursing care to patients across neonates to geriatrics, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare team during the shift.

This full-time night shift (7 PM–7 AM) offers 36 hours per week with a 12-hour schedule. The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and adherence to clinical guidelines while supporting families and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Iowa.
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes and patient care.
• Able to read, write, and follow English instructions.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and monitor status.
• Develop and execute care plans with the care team.
• Educate patients and families on meds and care plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide respectful, age-appropriate care.
• Provide leadership in supervising others delivering nursing care.
