Job summary

MercyOne seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Room team. You will provide professional nursing care across age groups, use the nursing process, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support neonates through geriatrics.

This full-time night shift position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and current Iowa RN licensure. ACLS/PALS preferred, with strong patient advocacy and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, interventions, and evaluation of patient status.
• Promote and restore health by collaborating with providers and the multidisciplinary team, supporting patients and families.
• Execute care plans as prescribed, adhere to nursing guidelines, and ensure age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Educate patients on medications, procedures, and their care plans during hospitalization and post-discharge.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide non-judgmental care.
• Provide leadership and direction in supervising others in delivering nursing care.
