Job summary

MercyOne in New Hampton, IA, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Medical and Surgical areas, including ER coverage during night charge shifts. Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care with minimal supervision and coordinating with the care team.

The role requires Iowa RN licensure, completion of a nursing program, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP within specified periods, and ability to learn EHR and WorkDay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
• Experience with computer software and willingness to learn new software (Excel, Microsoft, electronic health record, WorkDay, etc.)
• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completes ACLS, PALS, NRP within specified hire timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in Medical and Surgical areas, including ER.
• Assesses patient needs and develops care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Documents patient information accurately in medical records.
• Communicates patient changes and collaborates with caregivers.
• Supports and learns new technologies and processes.
