Job summary

Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for overnight full-time shifts. The ED handles patients of all ages with 24/7 care supported by board-certified physicians and a full imaging, lab, and pharmacy team.

Ideal candidates bring at least 6 months of RN experience, active RN license in the state, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months. Inpatient RN experience is preferred and the department emphasizes safety, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• At least 6 months RN experience; not for new graduates.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead with evidence-based practice and compassionate communication to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
