Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a full-time night shift (12 hours). The ED RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to those with acute illness, injury, or emergencies, rapidly assessing and prioritizing based on acuity.

The role requires ACLS/BLS, ENPC/other certifications, and BSN preferred. Join a team committed to high-quality emergency care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ENPC) certification or ability to obtain within designated timeframe.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical presentation.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and response to treatment.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders and policies.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Provide emergency nursing care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, psychiatric, and traumatic emergencies.
• Assist with resuscitation efforts, including ACLS interventions.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, and emergency surgeries.
• Operate and monitor emergency department equipment.
• Participate in disaster response and mass casualty events.
