Job summary

Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department in Charlotte seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for our 24/7 ED. The role focuses on coordinating and delivering comprehensive nursing care, with a strong emphasis on safety, evidence-based practice, and patient experience.

You will work within a team that supports trauma-capable care and rapid decision-making. Requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program, active RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire; 1 year

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
