Job summary

Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join our 24/7 ED team in Charlotte, NC. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care, following established standards and evidence-based practices within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, adjusting care plans, and collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• At least 6 months of RN experience; not for new grads.
• Active RN license in the practicing state; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clear communication to ensure patient safety and experience.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Administer medications per clinical protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
• Engage in professional development and uphold standards of ethical care.
