Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on the night shift. You will assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care for ER patients with a focus on safety and quality. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Requirements include an active RN license, 2+ years in ER, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. ENPC may substitute for PALS, TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (RN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions required.
• 2+ years of full-time RN experience in ER or similar setting required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English; strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately, concisely, and legibly.
• Monitor and record patient signs, symptoms, and physiological status.
• Follow physician orders and collaborate with care teams.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Prepare and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
