Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. This role requires a NJ RN license, BLS, and ER experience, with a BSN strongly preferred and CEN encouraged. You will work evenings in the Emergency Department, with 37.5 hours weekly and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will collaborate with physicians, document in EPIC EMR, and provide compassionate patient care while pursuing growth opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Two years ER nursing experience preferred.
• BSN degree strongly preferred; CEN certification encouraged.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families for informed decisions and next steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to support continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative team environment and pursue ongoing professional growth.
