Job summary

Ally Medical Emergency Room in Bastrop, TX seeks a qualified Registered Nurse for the emergency department. You will triage, monitor, and deliver direct patient care in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients.

This role requires TX RN licensure, two years ER experience, and CPR/BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. You will document care, administer medications, and assist with procedures while upholding patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold an active RN license in Texas.
• Two (2) years of ER nursing experience.
• CPR/BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced emergency setting and collaborate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by evaluating the medical complaint or current symptoms and report to physician.
• Works directly under physicians, assisting during exams, procedures, diagnostic testing and treatments.
• Per physicians’ orders performs IV initiation/infusion/therapy, blood draws, cardiac monitoring, pulse oximetry, oxygen, nebulized treatment, wound care, splints, and basic bedside care.
• Recognizes and treats life-threatening conditions promptly.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across age groups and reassesses as needed.
• Assists with procedures including laceration repair, sedation, incisions, chest interventions and deliveries when applicable.
• Prepares and administers medications and records administration in the medical record.
• Reviews discharge instructions, records vitals pre-discharge, and ensures stability.
• Documents all patient care information concisely and timely for the medical record.
