Job summary

Ally Medical ER is hiring a registered nurse to provide direct care in the emergency department. You will triage, assess, treat, and coordinate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Must hold TX RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Two years ER or ED nursing experience preferred. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain patient safety and documentation accuracy. Ally Medical is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two (2) years of registered nurse and/or emergency room nursing experience.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by evaluating the medical complaint or current symptoms and report to physician.
• Works directly under physicians, assisting them during exams, procedures, diagnostic testing and treatments.
• Per physicians’ orders performs IV initiation/infusion/therapy, blood draws, cardiac monitoring, pulse oximetry, applies oxygen, administers nebulized treatment, cleans and bandages wounds, applies splints, and provides basic bedside care.
• Recognizes and effectively treats life-threatening conditions.
• Assists physicians with procedures including but not limited to laceration repair, mid-level sedation, incision and drainage, intubation, chest tube insertion, foreign body removal, and recording time of death or birth as needed.
• Prepares and administers medications ordered by the physician and records administration in the medical record.
• Reviews discharge instructions with patient and records vital signs prior to discharge.
