Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department, a Level I Trauma Center with 53 beds. The role offers weekend second shift from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 36 hours per week, and a sign-on bonus with relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Education: RN license required; BSN/MSN preferred; BLS within 90 days. Prior ED trauma, critical care, or related experience is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS and ACLS preferred
• Emergency Department experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality emergency care in a Level I Trauma Center
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage trauma, stroke, cardiac and other emergencies
