Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an RN for the Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center. This full-time weekend-night role (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) covers every weekend, with 36 hours per week and shift blocks to support patient care in a fast-paced ED.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred
• Emergency Department experience preferred
• Strong candidates with related acute care, trauma, or critical care experience encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care.
• Support trauma, cardiology, stroke and critical care patients in a fast-paced environment.
