Job summary
George Washington University Hospital is seeking an ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Level I Trauma Center. You will deliver critical care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
Work alongside a dedicated team, performing assessments, administering medications, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement and research initiatives. Shifts available: 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am.
Qualifications
- BSN or currently enrolled in nursing program.
- DC RN license or eligibility.
- 1 year of ED/critical care experience preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- TNCC within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced ED.
- Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and administer meds.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust care as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement and research opportunities.
