Job summary

George Washington University Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Washington, DC, seeks an ER Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced ED. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and work with a skilled team to manage urgent and life-threatening cases.

Shifts available 7am–7:30pm and 7pm–7:30am. The role supports professional growth with strong benefits and a culture of teaching and research within UHS.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• DC RN License or eligibility.
• 1 year of ED or critical care experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• TNCC certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a busy ED.
• Perform assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement and research opportunities.
