George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department. You will deliver high‑quality care to patients with a wide range of urgent and life‑threatening conditions in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• DC RN license or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of ED or critical care experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC certification within 1 year of hire.
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a dynamic, challenging emergency department setting.
• Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement care for patients across a wide range of conditions.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and research opportunities.
