Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services in Colorado seeks an RN to serve as a Float ED nurse in a Level 1 trauma setting, delivering high-level emergency care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, mentor new staff, maintain certifications, and champion patient safety and quality of care while working night shifts onsite.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience.
• Certification in PALS, NIHSS, ACLS, Trauma Nursing, and BLS.
• Ability to work night shifts onsite.
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Prioritize patient safety, evidence-based practice, and wellness.
• Mentor and precept new healthcare staff.
• Support clinical education and competency validation.
• Contribute to quality and safety at the point of care.
• Maintain certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and ATCN.
• Provide care up to and including trauma level 1 designation.
