Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, invites an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a faith-driven, award-winning system renowned for patient safety and advanced cardiac and stroke care. The role requires current CA RN licensure and 1 year of ER/critical care experience in acute care.

Applicants must hold BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS within 5 days; CPI within 90 days; CEN encouraged.

Qualifications

• One (1) year Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility.
• Registered Nurse with current California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) certifications required
• NIHSS required within first week (5 days) of hire
• CEN encouraged
• CPI certified within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• The Emergency Department Registered Nurse performs assessments appropriate to the patient's clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner.
• Performs assessments completely and accurately including, but not limited to, physical (pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls), psychological (cognition and communication), social status and other patient needs.
• Provides timely triage, monitoring, and coordination of patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Responds to emergencies, administers medications, and documents findings and care provided.
