Job summary

Emerus is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate care in the ER. You will provide age-appropriate nursing care, document meticulously, monitor patient status, and collaborate with physicians to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requires ADN or higher, RN licensure, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. English fluency is required; PA clearance steps are listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required; TNCC preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
• Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient nursing care appropriate to patient age and development.
• Document accurately in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Propose revisions to interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow physician’s orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and regulations.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Manage admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
