Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. operates the Methodist ER Bulverde, a freestanding 24/7 ER facility delivering rapid, compassionate care in a modern setting.

As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse on a full-time mixed shift, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize, assess, and treat urgent medical conditions. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, ongoing education, and collaboration with management and hospital councils to improve clinical outcomes and the nursing profession.

Qualifications

• RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care.
• Must obtain ACLS within 90 days; BCLS within 30 days; TNCC within 1 year.
• RN responsibilities include teaching patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage pain.
• Document care in patient medical records promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients/families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and side effects.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
