Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. seeks an experienced RN for the freestanding Methodist Boerne Emergency Center to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

You will educate patients and families, ensure timely documentation, and participate in ongoing professional practice and quality initiatives to support excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department standards.
• Collaborate with medical providers and care teams to promote positive outcomes.
• Advocate for patients/families and model the organization’s values and mission.
• Document care clearly and timely in the patient record.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
