Job summary

Hamilton County Hospital District is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to provide direct patient care and coordinate care planning in a fast-paced ED setting.

The role requires proficient assessment, timely decision-making, and effective communication with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Texas RN licensure and ACLS/BCLS are preferred; ED experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current Texas RN license; BCLS and ACLS preferred.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking required.
• Experience in emergency nursing preferred.
• Accurate documentation in electronic health records required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes in the ED and adjust nursing care as needed.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy across age groups.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Triages patients and assigns appropriate care priorities; document histories and interventions.
• Collaborate with ED physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
