Job summary

AdventHealth in Texas is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to evaluate and triage patients, administer therapies, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and adherence to ED protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include using ESI triage, IV therapy, and EMR/CPOE systems, with attention to safety, infection control, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• General nursing principles applied to ED assessment and care.
• Pharmacologic processes for ED medications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients on ED arrival and prioritize care using ESI.
• Assign patients to treatment areas based on observations and vitals.
• Perform, document, and report procedures per policy.
• Assess and intervene in suspected abuse/neglect cases.
• Administer IV therapy and monitor medications and IV drips.
• Use CPOE and EMR for patient information retrieval.
• Maintain licensure, skills, and ED readiness.
• Other duties as assigned.
