Job summary

Hamilton County Hospital District in Hamilton, TX is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate care plans. You will triage safely, assess and respond to rapidly changing conditions, and collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize patient flow.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license, BCLS/ACLS preferred, and at least one year of ER nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Texas RN license; BCLS and ACLS preferred.
• One year ER nursing experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication; basic computer knowledge; proficient in interpreting EKG.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes with care plans.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy.
• Assess, plan, implement and educate on pain management.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Identify dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to EKG findings.
• Assign triage categories and document thoroughly.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize patient flow.
