Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking an ER Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced ED.

You will triage, treat, and educate patients, document results, and administer medications per physician orders, with an emphasis on teamwork and patient safety. Florida RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC/NIHSS/CPI are required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse per state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• TNCC required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CEN certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including triage, screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging tests and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
