Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking an ER Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality care in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity Emergency Department. You will triage, treat and discharge or admit patients while maintaining accurate records and administering medications.

The ideal candidate holds Florida RN licensure (or compact), a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. Additional certifications (TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, CEN) within 6 months are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure or compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS/ENPC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• TNCC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CEN certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage, screening, preparation for exam and general nursing care; arrange tests and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
