Job summary

Riverview Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to perform initial assessments, lab work, and point-of-care testing while coordinating discharge planning with the care team.

You will document care in the EMR, monitor patient status, and assist with procedures. Indiana RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications, and prior critical care or ED experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program by date of hire.
• Minimum: Two (2) years of Critical Care experience.
• Preferred: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.

Responsibilities

• Triages patients in the Emergency Department based on condition severity.
• Assesses patient condition via visual evaluation, vitals, and history.
• Administers medications and assists with medical procedures as prescribed.
• Monitors changes and communicates with care team per policies.
• Charts patient information and updates EMR throughout stay.
• Discharges patients with instructions and confirms transportation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
