Job summary

Mercy Health’s Defiance Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting. You will assess patient status, determine priorities, implement interventions, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver safe, effective care.

The role requires an Associate or BSN in Nursing with current RN licensure; BLS is required and ACLS/PALS are preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity ER setting.
• Evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet planned outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with policies.
