Job summary

Mercy Health in Austintown, OH is hiring an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes leadership, patient assessment and care planning with a focus on safety and collaboration with the care team.

The chosen candidate will have at least an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification (PALS preferred; ACLS/PALS to be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred (ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high intensity setting.
• Evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients, from short-stay to trauma.
• Administer medications safely according to policy.
