Job summary

Pulse Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Houston, TX to deliver safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced ER setting.

You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, start IVs, document care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to respond to emergencies. Flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of Texas or eligible
• Experience in Emergency Room or acute care settings preferred
• Ability to start IVs and manage IV therapy
• Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to ER patients.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and triage based on acuity.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Start and maintain IV lines; perform essential nursing procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and escalation as needed.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and patient safety standards.
