Job summary

ProCare Preston Hollow Emergency is seeking an experienced RN to deliver urgent nursing care in the ER. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and staff, focusing on life-threatening conditions and rapid stabilization.

Responsibilities include triage, IV therapy, EKG monitoring, medication administration, and documentation in the EHR. Texas RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing with active Texas RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS or ENPC certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year RN ER experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and safe medication administration.
• Ability to document patient findings in the EHR and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collect history and chief complaint, document findings, and report to provider.
• Coordinate with health care team to assess and plan patient care.
• Perform triage, basic life support, and monitor patient status.
• Administer medications as ordered and document administration.
• Assist physicians during exams, procedures, and tests, and manage critical patients.
• Assist with sexual assault and abuse cases per protocol and reporting.
