Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, treat, and educate patients and families while following established nursing models and organization values.

The role emphasizes advocacy, compassionate care, and clinical excellence within a leading hospital network.

Qualifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 30 days of employment start date.
ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) within 18 months of employment start date.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 30 days of employment start date.
RN licensure in state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or similar program within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management with reassessments after interventions.
Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered by the medical provider and document care in the EMR.
Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs for proactive care.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps.
Educate on non-medical follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, prevention, and self-management.
