Job summary

MaineGeneral Health seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN to join the team across Waterville and Augusta. This 36-hour/week role requires rotating weekends and holidays, with shifts in both Thayer Center for Health (Waterville) and Alfond Center for Health (Augusta).

You will gain cross-training across two EDs and clinical settings. The ideal candidate has Maine RN licensure, 2+ years of ER experience, and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain Maine licensure promptly.
• At least 2 years of RN experience, preferred.
• Prior ER experience strongly preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, and TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment.
• Triage and prioritize care by acuity; coordinate transfers, discharge, referrals.
• Educate patients and families appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Delegate care to ancillary staff and precept students or new hires.
