Job summary

MaineGeneral Health seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN to support patients across Waterville and Augusta. This 30-hour-week role requires two 12-hour shifts one week and three 12-hour shifts the next, across two EDs.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team, provide direct patient care, and support transfers and discharges. Ideal candidates hold Maine RN licensure with 2+ years in ER, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; ER experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, TNCC preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Triages and prioritizes care by acuity and resources.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines and manage transfers/discharges.
• Educate patient/family according to age and culture.
• Delegate care to ancillary staff; may precept students and new hires.
