Job summary

Vance Jackson Hospital, LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN (PRN) to assess, triage, and treat patients across all ages in a fast-paced ED. You will supervise ERTs, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to implement care plans.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program graduate with an active RN license, current BCLS/CPR, and preference for ACLS, PALS, ENPC or TNCC. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• BCLS/CPR current.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival with head-to-toe evaluations and psychosocial assessments.
• Assign triage categories to prioritize care.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages.
• Administer medications accurately per five rights.
• Supervise Emergency Room Technicians and staff.
• Communicate with patients and families about procedures and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop care plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement.
