Locum Tenens Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Wytheville, Virginia

ER RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Trauma nursing experience preferred
• Experience with MedHost EHR preferred
• Strong teamwork and adaptability in a clinical setting

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Assess, triage, and manage patients in a fast-paced emergency department
• Administer medications and treatments using Baxter pumps and Spacelabs cardiac monitors
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document patient care in MedHost EHR
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care

Contract Details

• Location: Wytheville, Virginia 24382
• Facility: 100-bed hospital, 14-bed ER unit
• Contract Start Date: September 22, 2025
• Contract End Date: December 22, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend as needed
• Patient Ratios: 1:4–5
• Electronic Health Record: MedHost
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910–$1960
