Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Laurinburg, NC 28352 (Southeastern North Carolina healthcare jobs)
Facility Setting: Emergency Room (ER) – Community Hospital
Position Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 09/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
Total Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Orientation: 36 hours
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,650 - $1,770 per week

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active NC State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
CPI certification preferred
Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
Experience in a community hospital or acute care setting
Skilled in caring for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
Two recent professional references from nursing supervisors (within the last two years)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with varying diagnoses and acuity levels
Perform triage, patient assessment, and prioritize emergency care
Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, and blood products
Manage acute trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric emergencies
Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
Perform and assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, intubation, and splinting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including radiology and support staff
Document patient care accurately using EPIC
Educate and support patients and families during emergency situations
Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
Float to additional units as needed to support hospital operations
