Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Farmville, Virginia

This 8-week locum tenens opportunity offers you the chance to join a leading healthcare team in a vibrant Virginia community. Enjoy Farmville’s scenic parks, charming downtown, and welcoming atmosphere while providing critical clinical support in the SCH Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Room
• Perform patient assessments, triage, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to urgent situations
• Accurately document all care in the Cerner EMR system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations

Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Trauma Certification required (ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC)
• ENPC certification preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Locals within 60 miles are not eligible for this travel nursing job

• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Location: Farmville, VA 23901 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room (SCH Emergency Room)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Dates: September 22, 2025 and October 6, 2025 (orientations every other Monday)

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780 - $1,910 per week
