Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Emergency Department RN to join a dedicated team in a multi-site environment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, evidence-based practices, and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BSN preferred for advancement.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications may be required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives, and care process improvements.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, coordinate with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Uphold safety culture and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to different units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Provide ethical, compassionate care and effective communication within the team.
