Job summary

Responsibilities

• Admits patients to the hospital by collecting information, deposits, forms and signatures.
• Register patients accurately and prioritize during high-volume periods.
• Obtain signatures on medical, financial and compliance documents and prepare identification paperwork.
• Scan documents into EMR/financial records including IDs, insurance cards and directives.
• Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate prior authorizations per payer requirements.
• Collect payments for balances due at admission or discharge.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure patient satisfaction and optimize reimbursement.
