Job summary

Advocate Health’s High Point Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, delivering treatments and monitoring conditions with strong clinical judgment.

Requires an active RN license and BLS, with a BSN preferred. The unit features 34 acute beds plus specialty areas, and the schedule includes weekend 7p–7a shifts in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific as applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically, 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered emergency care using the nursing process, clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and adapt care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal outcomes and maintain documentation and professional standards.
