Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department, a Level III trauma unit with a 24-bed capacity. The RN will deliver safe, patient-centered care, assess outcomes, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to meet high-acuity needs.

The role requires licensure in the hiring state or a compact, a nursing degree, and current BLS at minimum. Certifications such as ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/PALS may be required depending on unit and patient mix.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ASN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/TPCC-based certifications may be required per unit.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate with direct caregivers and interdisciplinary teams.
