Job summary

Pampa Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our award-winning team. You will deliver safe patient care in Telemetry and the Emergency Department, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications, and at least one year of acute-care experience; BSN and CEN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required on hire and current.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days.
• Minimum one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and healthcare team.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment.
• Maintain EMTALA compliance and report abuse as required.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
