Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services' Pampa Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking an Emergency Room RN for night shifts. The ER RN delivers rapid, skilled care to patients seeking emergency medical attention in a 25-bed critical-access hospital.

Responsibilities include triage, direct patient care, medication administration, wound care, and stabilizing patients with ACLS/PALS/ENPC when needed; patient education is expected for discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification required; maintain current.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS certification and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as staff RN in acute care hospital; ER setting preferred.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival and prioritize care per triage protocols.
• Provide direct care, including medications, procedures, vital signs, and pain management.
• Assist with stabilization and life-saving interventions (ACLS, PALS, trauma care).
• Manage high-stress, rapidly changing situations for multiple patients.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions.
